Frank Julie is an organizational development practitioner and consultant with a Masters’ Degree in the Philosophy of Adult Education and Development obtained from the University of Cape Town (UCT) He has been involved in development work since the late 1970s with organizations all over Southern- and East Africa and acts as strategic adviser to many.
He is also the founder, director and mentor of YoungPeople@Work and the Master Fundraising Mentoring Forum where he assist in mentoring directors and fundraisers in the art of professional fundraising. He traveled extensively in various countries studying development models on the ground and turning organizations around! He is also a co-founder and ex-chair of the Southern African Fundraising and Leadership Academy.
Frank is the author of The Art of Leadership and Management on the Ground and The Roots of the NGO crisis in South Africa – A look beyond the surface. Frank studied social science at the University of the Western Cape (UWC), development at the Community Development Resource Association (CDRA) and fundraising and development at the Centre for Development and Population Activities (CEDPA) in Washington DC. He is currently completing a new book “Funding strategies for struggling NPOs” and reading towards a PHD.
