Concerned organisations and citizens, business leaders, home-owners, scientists, design shapers, among others will be taking part in a glocal (global + local) Hackathon on Saturday, 24 and Sunday, 25 February 2018 at the Cape Town Science Centre in Observatory. In addition to the Hackathon, the two-day event will consist of a variety of activities, all with a focus on creating awareness and the sharing of ideas to provide solutions to the current water stresses facing Cape Town, immediately, and into the future. Mihlali lives in a neighborhood where gangs, drugs and violence are an everyday reality. It’s not safe she told us. Mihlali was struggling at her last school and the Teachers dealing with already overcrowded classes, could not afford to spend any time with her. Her mother knew she would be left behind.
