Projects and Services:

Assistant Chef Program (Accredited at NQF level 2):

  • 3-4 Months course.
  • Includes theory and practical.
  • Accredited by Cathsseta – 56 Credits.
  • Upon completing the qualification, learners are able to enter the Hospitality industry as assistant chefs or start up their own small enterprise.

Computer skills Program:

  • 2-3 Months course.
  • Includes theory and practical.
  • Linked with Vaal University and Ikamva National e-Skills institute (INESI).
  • Facility can accommodate persons with disability.

Ancilliary Health Care Certificate Program.

  • 1 year certificate course.
  • Accredited with HWSETA.
  • Includes theory and practical.

Music Training Program:

  • Non Accredited/ partnership with Stellenbosch University.
  • Beneficiaries learn theory and practical.
  • Trained by experienced local musicians.
  • Musicians come from Stellenbosch University and UNISA.
  • Training offered in Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Keyboard, Marimba and Saxophone.

Holiday Programs:

  • Takes place during June and December school holidays.
  • Caters on average to 350-400 children.
  • Host programs in Eerste River, Kraaifontein (Wallacedene) and Wellington (Newton).
  • Programs are designed to develop life skills, be educational and provide spiritual upliftment.
  • When possible we strive to take youth on educational excursions such as nature reserves or the Military Defence Force base.

After-school activities:

  • Working in partnership with local schools and the department of Sports and Recreation.
  • We provide afterschool chess lessons and homework assistance.
  • Educational excursions and training in partnership with local nature reserves.

Support Group and Activism:

  • Cancer support group for survivors and families affected by cancer.
  • Provide emotional support as well as training on dealing with certain issues.
  • Mobilization of community members and support at the courts for families dealing with women and child abuse and rape cases.
  • Awareness campaigns around substance abuse and cancer in the community.
