  • Ensure every rider as a racing bike that can complete at least a 100 km road race, such as the Cape Town Cycle Tour or the Tour of Stellenbosch
  • Ensure every rider has the equipment to enable him to be safe and competitive in these races.

  • Ensure our riders are academically successful
  • Ensure our riders develop their physiological capabilities as far as our resources will allow
  • Get our riders to as many racing events as possible (this is done at own cost to the committee members)
  • In the process, expose our riders to competitive situations that require ethical yet competitive behaviour in a way that demonstrats good sportmanship
  • Aspirationally, we want to compete in as many criteriums and 100 km road races as possible, while also taking a team to the Coronation Double Century
  • One of our senior riders will be completing his B Tech degree this year and we want to offer him the opportunity to complete a short internship overseas.

Success is defined as:

  • Providing a platform where our kids can train, race and perform safely, while developing as young adults.
  • Achieve sport/life balance, realizing that there is a world beyond school and sport that they need to prepare for.
  • Where possible, get them into feeder or professional teams, as we believe a number of them have the talent for that.

Funding requirements:

  • To ensure our riders have the best possible equipment and opportunities, we require R 100,000 funding.
  • This will be allocated to bicycles, shoes, helmets, clothing, after event clothing, transport and feeding.
