Bring Buckets of Hope to Families in Need

It looks as if the worst of the pandemic is behind us now. Here at #ChristelHouseSA, we are planning to bring hope, happiness and some much-needed relief during this Festive Season to our families in need – and YOU can help a lot…

As Covid-19 exposed the deeply entrenched inequalities in our society, it was children born into poverty who suffered more than most during this time. Help us dial back to good memories, filling tummies and putting smiles on our students’ faces this December holiday, by sponsoring a Bucket of Hope.

Donate one or more Buckets of Hope, filled with non-perishable goods and a few extra treats, and help put food on the table for our students and their families this extended holiday.

Each bucket costs R200 and our aim is to distribute 400 buckets before the holiday break of 15 December.

Join us on 11 November at 13h00 on Facebook Live for our 2020 Virtual Special Assembly, where our students, staff and alumni show their appreciation to you for your loyal support during this most remarkable year. Our two talented young MC’s, Alutha and Tiyara, will lead our event, as they reflect on the challenges and opportunities the pandemic brought us, and look back at some of our main events of 2020 - including a tribute to our founder, the late Christel DeHaan, who passed on in June 2020. We will also share our exciting new plans for 2021, including digitising our curriculum even further and equipping our students with skills that match the modern workplace. Then, sit back and enjoy our entertainment segment which will include our talented students and one of South Africa’s most famous musical icons – you won’t want to miss this one. Your dedication and willingness to help at a moment’s notice has meant the world to us and we certainly could not have done it without YOU! Together we kept our students safe from infection, kept them fed and kept them focused on their schoolwork.
