FoodForward SA releases 2020/2021 Annual Report

FoodForward SA is proud to release its new Annual Report, which highlights our key activities and impact for the financial year 1 March 2020 – 28 February 2021. Want to know what were up to during yet another milestone year?

MassMart and the Walmart Foundation commit US$200,000 to aid our recovery efforts in Kwa-Zulu Natal.

In early July, Gauteng and Kwa-Zulu Natal were gripped by devastating scenes of violence, arson and looting. Our own FoodForward SA Durban branch was not spared and we lost all the food, vehicles and equipment in the warehouse, with our premises suffering millions of Rands worth of damage.

FoodForward SA Durban branch is re-equipped and fully operational

Thanks to generous support from our amazing donors, our Durban branch, which suffered millions of Rands’ damage during the violence and looting during early July, is fully operational and distributing monthly food provisions to 162 registered and vetted beneficiary organisations.

Lancaster Foundation Keeps us Moving

Lancaster Foundation’s support has helped FoodForward SA build its infrastructural capacity as we’ve scaled to fight hunger.

Food Lover’s Market’s Hunger Month Campaign donates over 700,000 meals to FoodForward SA

As part of the fifth consecutive Food Lover’s Market Hunger Month campaign, purchasing participating products at Food Lover’s Market stores between 1 - 28 May contributed to over 700,000 donated meals donated to FoodForward SA!
