We are now distributing breakfast porridge to all 6 Siyaphakama schools. This has increased our breakfast support from 2700 kg to 4100 kg per month!

EDUCATION & SPORT

Siyaphakama Zwide Schools Project update
The program has seen the All-star teams being invited to various tournaments across the sporting codes, namely The Grey Rugby festival, Alex u14 tournament and the Woodridge Independent Schools Tournament. These opportunities have provided our Siyaphakama All-Stars with valuable tournament experience and exposure.

Our Siyaphakama All Stars team participated at the Woodridge Independent Schools rugby tournament in June 2024

Infrastructure
We are also excited to share that all 6 Siyaphakama schools now have adequate fencing with the last being Sithembile, whose fence was completed and signed off at the end of July. We are anticipating breaking ground towards the end of October for the first phase of our Siyaphakama infrastructure programme which will see a multi-purpose field at Isaac Booi and a multi-purpose court at Emsengeni.

GENERAL

Partnerships Day 2024
In July, we hosted over 42 funding partners in Zwide at Ubuntu Pathways for "A Day in the Life of the Kolisi Foundation." The purpose of this event was for our funding partners to experience the work of the Kolisi Foundation firsthand — an opportunity to experience our work beyond the videos, brochures, and social media updates. We had tables showing our food parcels, an interactive presentation by our team, and sports activities with the Siyaphakama programme! This event was hugely successful due to the massive team effort involved.
