As a Blue Hand project, a preschool care centre in the Villiersdorp district received more than a lick of paint from the Capespan Foundation recently.

Lead-free PVA paint was donated to liven up the interior of the facility. Educational content also was added with the alphabet and season pictures on walls and blackboards. And with the use of tractor tyres provided by the farm, a brightly painted outdoor play area and obstacle course were created.

Capespan Exports' Logistics department rose to the challenge with a volunteer team of 16 staff members. GM Logistics Deon Joubert and his team spent the entire day painting and left each child a Christmas gift. An assortment of educational toys also was donated to the centre.

The Capespan Foundation's mandate is to improve the quality of life of rural communities in which Capespan operates.
