Rise Against Hunger Africa is thrilled to have been selected again as an official charity of the Comrades Marathon. The 2024 launch took place on Tuesday and it was announced that entries will open 21st November 2023 at 10h00 for the 2024 up run.
This October was a memorable one, as we took a group of our generous donors on Impact site visits. These excursions provide a unique glimpse into how their contributions truly make a difference. While our meal-packing events are always an inspiring affair, the true transformation is witnessed when these meals reach the Early Childhood Development centres we aid.
It's not just about the food; the impact extends much further. These centres invest the savings gained from our meals back into critical areas like teacher training, classroom infrastructure, sanitation, and health and safety initiatives.
This approach not only meets immediate needs but also paves the way for these ECDs to evolve into self-sustaining micro-enterprises. Witnessing this change firsthand is nothing short of magical.
