Shiloh FAQ's and lockdown facts

Shiloh, nutritious meals in transit, answers some questions and provides some facts to ensure they keep their staff safe in this time and keeps providing nutritious meals to the people in need.
Volunteering:
During lock down, it’s important for us to keep your family safe. Our well trained staff is adhering the correct hygiene measures and follows protocol.
Therefore, we currently do not make use of volunteers.
Can I refer someone to Shiloh:
Shiloh provides meals and other assistance to reputable, transparent organisations and feeding sites. It you know of or are such an organization, please contact us. We do not deal directly with the public as there is no way to verify the need.
How does Shiloh meals work:
Hot meals / Cold meals / Frozen packs
Shiloh provides nutritious stews at a subsidised rate of R4.50 each to feeding schemes and other institutions. If the meals are to be individually packed, R1.50 per meal is added for the container. All orders should be in two days before first delivery.
- Delivery
If your site falls within our current delivery areas, we can deliver. If not, meals can be collected in Brackenfell.
- Capacity
Can you deal with the growing demand? Yes. We. Can.
- Donations
To prevent contamination and other health issues, during lock-down we prefer monetary donations. This can be marked “lock-down” to assist us with rapidly growing demand.
If you wish to support a specific organisation with meals, please mark payment accordingly.
- Partnerships
Shiloh encourages partnerships. If we are not active in a certain area or not able to assist, we will gladly refer you to another trusted organisation.
